There are five, that's right five, engine options for the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee! The first three engine options are available on the Laredo through Summit trim levels. They include a 3.6-liter V6 that outputs 295 horsepower, a 5.7-liter V8 that generates 360 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter diesel that produces 240 horsepower. The SRT model is powered by a 6.4-liter V8 that cranks out 475 horsepower while the brand new Trackhawk model has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that delivers 707 horsepower! All five of these engines are matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All models equipped with a V6 engine are outfitted with rear-wheel drive but offer the option of four-wheel drive while all V8 models get four-wheel drive as standard. For all your towing needs, the Grand Cherokee maxes out at 7,400 pounds!

2018 Chevrolet Traverse Power & Handling

The Traverse only offers two engine options for the 2018 model year. The first option is a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. This engine offers a 5,000-pound towing capacity. The second engine option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that produces 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. For your towing needs, this engine maxes out at 1,500 pounds. Both engines are matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission. To save fuel and the environment, every Traverse model is outfitted with engine start/stop technology.

The Traverse is also offered in seven trim levels for the 2018 model year. Standard features include a seven-inch touchscreen, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, xenon headlights lights, 18-inch wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera, a seating configuration for eight-passengers, and LED running lights. Higher trims come equipped with features like remote engine start, rear parking sensors, second-row captain's chairs, heated front seats, a hands-free liftgate, and ventilated front seats. Sadly, the Traverse does not offer dedicated off-roading or performance models.
