Jeep Wrangler Wins Motor Trend's 2019 SUV of the Year

The 2019 Jeep Wrangler has already accrued a bunch of renowned acclaims thanks to its recent 2018 redesign.  J.D. Power has given it the top honors of its Resale Value Awards, SEMA has--for the ninth year in a row--named the Wrangler the 4x4 SUV of the Year, and ALG also recognized the Wrangler's great resale with their Residual Value Award.  Most recently, Jeep has added Motor Trend's 2019 SUV of the Year award to the Wrangler's prizes. 25 competitors were considered by Motor Trend, yet the Wrangler stood out as a vehicle proud of its past and innovating for the future. Despite its remodel, the Wrangler retains original design elements such as its iconic front fascia, that fun boxy cabin, and the best off-roading prowess in the market.

Weeks of testing went into the judgement of "best of the year", and the class-leading capabilities of the Jeep Wrangler was and is the most attractive aspect of the vehicle to critics and customers alike.  You won't find any other brand with as dedicated a fanbase as Jeep's nationwide network of clubs that cater to constantly leading adventure on new trails and aiding new owners with unlocking the great potential of the Wrangler's 4x4 systems.  Across rivers that are up to 30 inches deep, up and over approach angles of 44 degrees, breakover angles of 28 degrees, and departure angles of 37 degrees lead the Wrangler to explore some of the most remote areas a car can take you. There's a performance flexibility built under the hood of every Wrangler for both its powertrains to tackle these challenging and insanely enjoyable paths, from the FCA favorite 3.6-liter Pentastar V6--award-winning in its own right for amazing efficiency, reliability, and power--to the more road-savvy turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder for those who want equal strength but further fuel savings for the everyday.  Both engines give you a capable 3,500 pounds of towing capacity to take full advantage of the standard front- and rear tow hooks, and both give you one of a kind 4x4 performance no matter which of Jeep's drivetrain systems you decide to buy.

The other element that truly impressed the judges of Motor Trend was the pristine level of refinement and consideration the Wrangler's comfortable build gave to buyers.  There's the four-seater two-door model for a nimble and sporty performance on and off-road, the quintessential weekend warrior vessel from the sandy shores, rocky mountaintops, or icy tundras of winter.  There's also the family-favorite four-door model that sits up to five people thanks to an enhanced second-row space with best-in-class legroom and class-exclusive reclining seats. Perfectly blending work, play, and driving of the every day, these Unlimited builds deliver just as much advanced technology and authentic style as the two-door, coming with the same body breakdown features for Jeep's signature open-air bare-frame driving.  All come with a standard soft top roof, but you may choose to upgrade to the hardtop design, or even the latest innovation: the one-touch button-operated PowerTop, a retracting soft top that can be activated at speeds up to 60 miles per hour. Adventurers and parents will adore the water and stain resistant cloth upholstery, and delivering entertainment the whole crew can enjoy is the latest Uconnect system programmed into either a five- or seven-inch display screen with additional Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD Radio, and satellite radio connectivity to play all your tunes through either the standard eight-speakers or the advanced Alpine Premium stereo system.

The Wrangler has had decades to build the reputation it has today, making it the most iconic and immediately recognizable vehicle on the planet.  Its one of a kind looks are testament to the pride and satisfaction the company has in the Wrangler's rich heritage, recognizing its past while continuing to strive for the most modern engineering and craftsmanship an all-terrain SUV can offer.  It's little wonder why the Wrangler has been named the 2019 SUV of the Year, and it's definitely worth checking out yourself all the great new innovations Jeep has added into their most famous model.
