Trim Levels of the 2018 Jeep Compass

The 2018 Jeep Compass is a great choice for those that are looking for power and capability in a small package! The Compass offers the best of both worlds, an efficient off-roading machine (especially if you opt for the Trailhawk model) and an incredibly modern and user-friendly cabin loaded with the lasted in-car technology and convenience features. Jeep offers the Compass in a total of four trim levels for the 2018 model year. We're breaking down the ins and outs of every model below so you can pick the perfect trim level for all your wants and needs.

The base Sport model starts things off with standard features like a six-speaker audio system, air conditioning, a five-inch touchscreen display with the latest Uconnect infotainment system, a USB port to keep your smartphone connected and charged up, Bluetooth connectivity, and 16-inch wheels.

The Latitude trim level adds keyless entry and ignition, simulated leather upholstery, enhanced cloth upholstery, bigger wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This trim level also offers tons of great option packages so that you can customize the Compass to meet all your needs.

Off-roading in the 2018 Compass is the best with the Trailhawk model! Standard features for this model include underbody protection skid plates to protect all the important things like the engine and gas tank from punctures when scaling rocks and navigating tough terrains. Further standard features include a matte black hood accent, tow hooks in the front and rear of the SUV, an exclusive version of the Selec-Terrain system, a unique front fascia that maximizes breakover and approach angles, a raised suspension, off-roading oriented tires, and 17-inch wheels.

The top trim, also known as the Limited, adds features like satellite radio, 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, remote start, an upgraded driver information display, upgraded exterior trim, a power driver seat, automatic dual zone climate control, heated front seats, and 8.5-inch touchscreen with Uconnect, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

All models are powered by the same 2.4-liter Tigershark engine with MultiAir2 that produces 175 pound-feet of torque and 180 horsepower. Depending on the trim level and drivetrain that you opt for there are three transmission options including a manual six-speed, automatic six-speed, and automatic nine-speed. The Sport, Latitude and Limited models are outfitted with front-wheel drive as standard but do offer all-wheel drive as an option. The Trailhawk model comes outfitted with AWD as standard.

Stand-alone options available depending on the trim level include lane departure warning and intervention, forward collision warning and mitigation, an Advanced Safety and Lighting package, a Cold Weather package (perfect for those chilly morning commutes), a power liftgate, a premium Beats audio system, a sunroof, and a navigation system.
